As a child in Western Canada, in the 1950's, I noted MANY English speakers called me 'Susan'.... They just could not say 'Suzanne'. [Figured it was French, I guess.
By the 1970's, everybody seemed to be able to say 'Suzanne'. :)

Named after my Brazillian Grandmother Suzette. I an English born to English and Brazilian parents. I love my name, except when people pronounce or spell Suzanne as Susan, it's slightly irritating. Everyone calls me Suzy though which I also like.
