It translates from French as "King". In French it is spelled Roi. My mother is French, but nationalized American. Catholic. Lots of children. All girls. 7 sisters to be exact .Then the guy. I am #8. At least I had my own bedroom growing up. With 7 sisters all older than me and all married with children.....I keep the neices and nephews in a data file.....and a lot of birthday cards. Oh crap, Christmas. I think there are 14 of them. The parents just had their 50 anniversary and we all gathered from various geographic locations. I got the prize for "Furthest Traveled". (Brussels). Decided then to get neutered !
