for 61 years I have lived with a name that I hate. To this day every time someone says my name I wince.Not the fault of the name- most likely the fault of my family and how they treated me. Whenever they said my name it was an indictment rather than a term of endearment. Best part of my name though is that every time I meet another Nancy I know that we are of the same generation and it is always a common ground for forming a friendship.
