It has an incredibly long list of possible nicknames, so it's very versatile. At its base, it's elegant and regal. Sure, it's common, but with so many variants, it's easy to make it unique if you want. I would name my daughter Elizabeth if I didn't already have the name myself.

It is a very elegant name. Sometimes too formal, but I don't like nicknames unless it is someone very close to me......then it's ok if they make up a a nickname.

I love Elizabeth because it is a beautiful and regal name. I have gone by several different nicknames in my life but always go back to the formal "Elizabeth".

Its way too common and long. I only go by Liz or Lizzy and I don't even look like my name would be Elizabeth. My father named me that last minute while my mom was still passed out so I never got the name my mom wanted to name me. I have always never liked my name and am planning to change it to just Lizzy. I am sorry if this offends anyone but it isn't the name for me.
