I've come to notice that my most intimate friends begin calling me by Jonathan after having called me Jon for an amount of time. It's also one of those names that, when pronounced, exposes the inflections in the speakers voice - meaning it's easy to detect subliminal attitudes if someone's talking to me and repeats my name.
